The weather forecast for 3pm on Sunday 2nd June was not looking favourable for an open air concert but the Verwood Training Band are made of sturdy stuff . . . and so are many of our supporters.

It was decided that the show would go on so everyone set to in setting up and despite the damp and chilliness it was fantastic to see a good number of people come out and support the Training Band.

The band played really well and the audience had a good time no doubt fortified with a hot cuppa and a piece of cake from the VCB Tea Tent.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder for the next Brass on the Grass event which takes place on 14th July and is the turn of the Verwood Concert Brass Band.
