We had a life-affirming evening playing some fabulous music and reminding ourselves that Band means Family – although to begin with we are here for the music, once we play as a team to create the music we become more than just a team or just the music, we are family.

Following his appearance as a guest conductor at our concert last night, we were delighted to welcome the inspirational brass player and teacher Paul Cosh to our band room this morning ✨⭐️🌟💫 🎺Almost 40 players from Verwood Concert Brass Verwood Town Band, Verwood Community Band, Michelmersh Silver Band and Shaftesbury Town Silver Band brushed up on their breathing and sound production skills, learned new practise techniques and were REALLY pleased they’d brought a pencil 🤓🌟💫✨🎺We’d like to say a BIG thank you to our MD Kevin Smith for organising this brilliant opportunity – we’re all off to put our new knowledge into practise starting from Tuesday, because Paul said we are allowed to have one day off a week, as long as it’s sunny 😉🌞🕶️
