Current Vacancies are shown on the individual band pages as shown below (Although we list specific vacancies above, all newcomers are welcome.)
Individual band pages:- Verwood Concert Brass, Verwood Town Band, Community Band, Ensemble
Historically, Verwood consisted of two bands, Verwood Concert Brass and Verwood Training Band (Now called the Community Band). However, in 2009, due to the number of players wishing to be members, it was decided to form a third band, hence the birth of the Town Band. We also have a small group known as the Ensemble (more information below)
Verwood Concert Brass:
The Principal Band consists of experienced players with a high standard of playing ability. Verwood Concert Brass is a Championship Section band.

Verwood Town Band:
The Town Band is made up of moderately experienced players who are at a standard of Grade IV or above. Verwood Town Band is a Third Section Band.

Verwood Community Band:
The Community Band is comprised of reasonably experienced players. (We also have a group for absolute beginners).

ALL AGES are welcome to any of our bands.
Ensemble:
This group consists of 10 – 12 players, mostly from the Verwood Concert Brass who play well known, popular pieces for celebration events. The Ensemble was very busy in 2014, playing for special birthdays, wedding anniversaries and other such occasions.
