Sunday 16th January

Last Sunday Verwood Concert Brass performed a very special Celebration Concert in Memory of Nigel Tiller.

Nigel was one of our longest serving members and it was a real honour for players from both Verwood Concert Brass Band and Verwood Town Band to take part in this concert.

Steve Chislett compered the concert linking the wonderful music in the programme to events in Nigel’s life.

There was a marvelous range of pieces; stirring marches, classics, melodies and a piece especially arranged for the occasion by Peadar Townsend, “An raibh tĂș ar an gCarraig?” an Irish Air which translates to “Were you at the rock?”.

There were also some stunning solos.
It was a very fitting tribute to Nigel. RIP.
