Verwood Concert Brass continues to buck the trend and have expanded now to three bands. Verwood Concert Brass (Principal Band), Town Band and the Community Band, which have a combined 90 players that need your support.
We do many events throughout the year to showcase the Bands and fund raise to cover the substantial costs of running the organisation. As well as our concerts, coffee mornings, cream teas, we also contribute our time and commitment to many of the Town activities, many without a fee (Remembrance Parade/Town Carnival/civil functions etc.)
Many of you will know that the Band has it’s own Band Hall which constantly needs maintaining.
How can you help us?
There are many ways you can help the Band, you don’t need a musical background, just a keenness to see the Band prosper in the future.
The newly formed ‘FRIENDS OF VERWOOD CONCERT BRASS’ need volunteers to help. Could you do any of the following:
- Sell programmes
- Sell raffle tickets
- Run a tombola
- Serve teas and coffees
- Bake cakes
- Help at Training Band Practice
- Help collate/sort our vast music library
- Help with Band Hall maintenance
- Sound & Lighting that the Hub Concert
